Here to attend my first food festival. It was a Sizzlers festival organized by XII Zodiac of fern Residency Hotel. I’m invited here by Shahbaaz Zaman.
It was Situated in Biswa Bangla road next to Pipal tree and just few steps far to City Centre 2. You can find this place easily on Zomato map.
* Intro - XII Zodiac is an Themed Based Restaurant which taking it's theme more than seriously. Like only few other restaurants XII Zodiac also make it's separate identity rather than part of Fern Residency. Their menu is very unique they serve you food as per your zodiac sign which was quite amazing. They specialist in Continental, Chinese and North Indian. Their Buffed is one of the best of kolkata they serve you Cuisines all around the world in your buffed in very reasonable price. It was Situated in top floor that's why you can see the beautiful view of city from their.
* Décor - Place was decorated more then beautifully. There are Zodiac signs all around the walls in blue theme. one side is full glassed for outer view. luxurious interious . comfortable sitting and attractive light bulbs. full restaurant themed in blue. Devided in two parts. one is for Buffet and other one is for dine in.
* Service - Ambience was very amazing and impressed a lot with the hospitality. decent smiling staff. perfect in their job. Service was very impressive. they performing everything perfectly. fulfilled our every need. Presentation was ravishing. every dish looking beautiful and mouth watering. Must say their staff were well trained and really good in what they're doing.
Now let's move on to the tasting section where we have refreshing beverages and sizzling sizzlers and delicious desserts to taste.
We start with beverages first in which we have five different refreshing mocktails to taste. reviewed below -
* Stay Cool - Stay cool is a mocktail which made for summers. a delicious and refreshing summer cooler. Classic virgin mojito made with tangyness of lemons and refreshment of mint with added blue curacao syrup to it to made a most refreshing and little tangy mocktail which tastes delicious. served in mason jar with lemon cutouts and milt leaves in it.
* Watermelon Mojito - The most refreshing summer cooler and the most tastiest too. It was the best drink we have that night. Classic mojito made of tangy lemond and refreshing mint leaves with added watermelon juice and strawberry syrup tastes heavenly delicious. full of refreshment with little tangyness red colored mocktail which tastes amazing served in mason jar with watermelon pieces, lemon cutouts and mint leaves.
* Virgin Mojito - Traditional and classy virgin mojito made with tangyness of lemons and refreshment of mint leaves tastes refreshing, little tangy and delicious. served in mason jar with lemon cutouts and mint leaves in it.
* Peach and Apricot Iced Tea - It was delicious in taste. getting full and balanced flavour of peach, apricot and tea. well balanced sugal level. little tangy and more refreshing iced tea which tastes delicious served in a glass with lid on it and with lemon pieces and mint leaves on it.
* Orange Margarita - Sweetest and most delicious mocktail of that night. It was oranges in slush format. getting sweet and little tangy flavour of oranges in every sip. very delicious in taste mocktail served in Margarita glass with crystal sugar in sides and lemon peace & mint leaf on top for garnish.
Thats all with the most refreshing and little tangy mocktails we have. now let's move to the review of couple of sizzling veg sizzlers i have that night -
* Cottage cheese sashlik with cheese black pepper - amazing sizzler made with Soft and creamy pieces of paneer clubbed with capsicum, onions and tomatoes and skewered on a fiery grill to perfection with spread some cottage cheese on top later.
panner sashlik was marinated with spicy red sauce and garlic, ginger, vinegar, chilli powder, black pepper, powdered ingredients and salt. served with herb zeera rice and fried potatoes. garnished with coriander leaves.
* Bhatti Ka Khazana - As it's name said it was a Bhatti ka khazana. It has some vegetables cooked it bhatti (tandoor) like cauliflower, potato, broccoli, Paneer and hara kabab. all vegetables were crispy, smoky, tandoori, spicy and heavenly delicious. hara kabab is made of finely smashed green veggies it was mouth melting and fully tandoori. very tasty and smoky tandoori vegetables served with tandoori naan and marinated onions, boiled tomatoes & fried capsicums.
After this couple of sizzling sizzlers they serve us couple of sizzling desserts to taste which were reviewed below -
* Texas Apple crumble Pie - pie made with sliced and peeled apples baked in oven with added some nuts to it. balanced and delicious taste of sweet & sour nutty apple pie. served in sizzler with vanilla ice cream scoop and chocolate waffle roll on top. unique and tasty dessert.
* Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream - Yes it was Sizzling and very delicious one too. chocolaty and sizzling brownie served in sizzler with vanilla ice cream and poured dark chocolate on top. very chocolaty and heavenly delicious in taste. totally loved it.
That's it with this sizzler festival. we have an amazing experience here. like to thank the management and owners for that wonderful evening and mr. subodh for serving us perfectly and for fulfill our every need. It was an must visit restaurant. personal fevorite. totally loved it. highly recommended to all.
