We are here for an Zomato Meetup organised by Samridhi Singhvi (Zomato Kolkata). It was a Vegetarians meetup at a restaurant who proudly saying we are veggie friendly.
Ambience was really great. The moment i entered warmly welcomed by Samridhi then we interact with manager and some other important guys. Restaurant was simple looking but classy. comfortable seats and rich decoration.
The Thing Impressed me more than the food was Hospitality by restaurant management and staff. They were really perfect in it. Service was superbly amazing and presentation was fantastic. lovely place for dine in.
let’s move on to my favorite part which was tasting. Start with drinks first. We have on menu both Mocktails and Cocktails to try which were listed and described below -
. Mocktails -
. Cucumber Curry Leaf Lemonade - it was very refresing drink best for summers. in every sip you get the taste on tangy lemon and cucumber leaf. unique and very tasty.
. Tropical Summer - Another summer drink made with oranges. refresing and very tangy with spicy touch of green chilly. loved it.
. Pina Nina - version of pina colada tastes quite similar. good example of tangy mocktail. one of the best summer cooler. sweet and tangy.
. Cocktails -
. Watermelon Martini - it was my personal favorite on menu. one of the best cocktail i’ve tried so far. brilliant combination of Watermelon juice and vodka. tasted very delicious tangy and candid. perfectly made.
. Mojito - Regular Mojito with added white rum in it due to which the perfect taste of lemon and mint get come out more strongly. loved it too.
. Cosmo on the Rocks - It was an great Combination of Sweetnesss of fruits with salinity of alcohol. perfect drink for alcoholics.
I’ve also had a Sweet lassi which was also delicious and perfectly made.
On Conclusion we had a Superb experience with beverages. all the drinks were very tasty, refreshing and perfectly made. Must try drinks. no complaint at all.
With drinks they serves us some Srarters which were reviewed below -
. Paneer Chilly Cheese Tikka - Perfectly cooked soft and cremmy Panner with regular boiled veggies which were again perfectly barbecued with spicy coating all over. very tasty and suitable starter.
. Shahi Bharwan aloo - perfectly boiled and crispy aloo with an amazing rich filling which tastes delicious. really nice starter for vegetarians.
. Hara Bhara Kabab - This one was my personal favorite from starters. unique dish for me never tried such thing before. very crispy, spice and brbecued green veggies kabab with cashew topping in it. must try dish. totally loved it.
. Crispy Chilly Babycorn - Crispy from outside and soft from inside really nice texture. tastes really good but missing the Spicy element which can be increased.
. Stuffed Jalapino - Crispy Jalapino in paneer based stuffing. Very tasty, spicy and cruncy. Suits best with alcohol.
Now move on to Main course in which we have some delicious Italian And Indian Dishes which were reviewed below -
. Cannelloni Florentine - Baked pasta with stuffing of spinach covered in smooth and creemy cheese sauce. served with hot and spicy red sauce and garnised with basil leaves. looks ravishing and tastes delicious.
. Pasta Aglio Olio - This was an Spaghetti pasta which was well cooked and for some flavour they sprinkled some red chilly flakes in it. this was the only dish in whole menu which i don’t liked. i didn’t found any taste in it. it was tasteless for me.
. Four Cheese Pasta - This one was my second favorite dish of main course. Perfectly baked pasta cooked in which sauce and with four different cheese. giving you the so cheesey taste. very delicious and very yummy.
. Dasa Kasa - Normally we called it dal makhani. it was tastes like cooked in home. perfect measurement of masalas with spicy tadka. tastes really good.
. Panner Butter Masala - You see this north indian dish in almost every menu. Our meal is incomplete without it. they made it just perfect soft and cremmy panner in nice textured salty, cremmy and little sweet yellow gravy. tastes buttery and very delicious.
. Hariyali Kofta - It was something unique and intresting for us. grind green veggies kofta tastes sweet and sour served in palak based red spicy and chilly gravy highlighted with coconut cream. looks very rich and beautiful. taste was the mixture of sweet, sour, spicy and cremmy. must try dish. personal favorite.
. Aloo Dum - Regular aloo dum in which potato was well boiled and tastes crispy served with tomato and cashew based tangy and spicy gravy. aloo was seems little hard but crispy enough so no complaint and gravy was delicious
. Lasooni Palak - spicy spinach sabji with chopped garlic in it tastes very delicious and smells smoky. Spinach lover will going to love it. it was very tasty.
.Breads - In breads we have Lacha paratha, tandoori roti, masala kulcha and butter naan. all were evenly baked and tastes really nice. no complaint at all.
.Vegetable Biryani - perfectly steamed and really good aroma of herbs and spices. vegetables also cooked and mixed it well but still need some improvement. it could be better. served with fruits and vegetable raita which was tastes delicious.
We ended this tastiest Meetup with couple of deserts listed below -
. Blueberry Cheese Cake - it was delicious and combination of blueberry sauce with CheeseCake was Mouthwatering. Must say it was really good but not perfect.
. Chocolate Brownie - Hot and little hard brownie topped with chocolate sauce tastes very delicious. served with Delicious vanilla ice cream. classy combination.
It was an fantastic experience here. Very impressed with both Hospitality and food/beverages. Like to thank both Zomato and Casa Fortuna Management for this lovely food audit.
